Duramax 30 mg Tablet

Short-acting SSRI for:

• Premature ejaculation in men aged 18–64 (on-demand treatment)

Men 18–64 years: 30 mg taken 1–3 hours before sexual activity, with a full glass of water, with or without food; may be increased to 60 mg if needed and tolerated.

• Not more than once every 24 hours.
• Review after 4 weeks (or 6 doses).
• Do not use with alcohol (fainting risk).

• Significant heart disease: heart failure, heart block, ischaemic heart disease, significant valve disease, history of fainting
• History of mania or severe depression
• Moderate or severe liver impairment
• Use with MAO inhibitors, thioridazine, SSRIs/SNRIs, tricyclics, St John's wort, tramadol, linezolid, lithium, triptans (or within 14 days)
• Use with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (ketoconazole, itraconazole, ritonavir, clarithromycin)

Very common: nausea, dizziness, headache.

Common: diarrhoea, insomnia, tiredness, anxiety, sweating, yawning, blurred vision, low libido.

Serious: fainting (syncope) often with prodromal nausea, dizziness, sweating; low blood pressure on standing; seizures; mood changes.

• Before first dose, check for low blood pressure on standing.
• If feeling light-headed, lie down or sit with head between knees until it passes.
• Avoid alcohol and recreational drugs; avoid driving if dizzy.
• Epilepsy, bleeding disorders, depression: caution.

Not indicated for women.

• Serotonergic drugs (contraindicated — serotonin syndrome)
• Strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (contraindicated); moderate inhibitors (erythromycin, fluconazole, diltiazem, grapefruit) — max 30 mg
• PDE-5 inhibitors (sildenafil, tadalafil) — more low blood pressure on standing
• Alcohol, sedatives (fainting, drowsiness)
• Alpha-blockers, nitrates (low blood pressure)

Nausea, vomiting, dizziness, fainting. Supportive care.

Store below 30°C.
