Gasoflux Suspension

Alginate raft-forming reflux suppressant (concentrated "advance" formula) for:

• Heartburn, acid regurgitation and indigestion from reflux, including in pregnancy
• Symptoms of reflux oesophagitis and hiatus hernia
• Laryngopharyngeal (throat) reflux symptoms

Suspension — adults and children over 12 years: 5–10 ml after meals and at bedtime, up to four times daily.

Children 6–12 years: 2.5–5 ml after meals and at bedtime (on medical advice).

Chewable tablets: 1–2 tablets after meals and at bedtime, chewed thoroughly.

• Shake well. See a doctor if symptoms continue beyond 7 days.

• Allergy to any ingredient
• Severe kidney impairment or high potassium (contains potassium)

Usually well tolerated. Rare: bloating, allergic reactions, breathing difficulty in sensitive people.

• Contains potassium and sodium — caution in kidney disease, heart failure, high blood pressure, and with potassium-raising medicines.
• Some products contain calcium carbonate and parabens.
• Persistent symptoms, weight loss, difficulty swallowing or bleeding need medical review.

Suitable in pregnancy and breastfeeding at recommended doses.

• Take 2 hours apart from other medicines, especially tetracyclines, quinolones, iron, levothyroxine, digoxin, ketoconazole
• ACE inhibitors, ARBs, spironolactone, potassium supplements (high potassium in kidney disease)

Bloating, abdominal discomfort. Seek advice if large amounts are taken, especially with kidney disease.

Store below 30°C. Do not refrigerate or freeze.
