Nvp Tablet

Antihistamine antiemetic + vitamin B6 for:

• Nausea and vomiting of pregnancy (morning sickness)
• Motion sickness
• Vertigo and dizziness of vestibular origin

Adults (meclizine 25 mg + pyridoxine 50 mg):

• Nausea of pregnancy: 1 tablet at bedtime; may increase to 1 tablet twice daily (morning and night) if needed.
• Motion sickness: 1 tablet 1 hour before travel; may repeat every 24 hours.
• Vertigo: 1 tablet 1–2 times daily.
• Not recommended for children under 12.

• Allergy to meclizine or pyridoxine
• Narrow-angle glaucoma, urinary retention, bowel obstruction (relative)

Common: drowsiness, dry mouth, tiredness, headache.

Less common: blurred vision, constipation, difficulty passing urine, restlessness.

Long-term high pyridoxine: tingling or numbness (very high doses only).

• May cause drowsiness — avoid driving and alcohol.
• Asthma, glaucoma, enlarged prostate, liver or kidney disease: caution.
• If vomiting is severe (unable to keep fluids down), seek medical care — hyperemesis needs treatment.

Widely used for nausea of pregnancy; considered safe at recommended doses. Small amounts in milk — may reduce milk supply; use with caution while breastfeeding.

• Alcohol, sedatives, opioids, other antihistamines (more drowsiness)
• Anticholinergic drugs (more dry mouth, constipation)
• High-dose pyridoxine may reduce levodopa effect (when used without carbidopa)

Drowsiness, confusion, agitation (children), dry mouth, fast heartbeat. Seek medical care.
