Reservix SR Tablet 200 mg

NSAID for pain and inflammation:

• Osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis
• Back pain, musculoskeletal pain, dental pain
• Painful inflammatory conditions (e.g. periarthritis of the shoulder)

Adults: 100 mg twice daily (morning and evening); controlled-release 200 mg once daily. Maximum 200 mg/day.

Liver impairment: 100 mg once daily.

• Take with or after food, swallowed whole with water.
• Not recommended for children.

• Allergy to aceclofenac, diclofenac, aspirin or other NSAIDs
• Active or past recurrent peptic ulcer or bleeding
• Severe heart failure, ischaemic heart disease, stroke, peripheral arterial disease
• Severe liver or kidney failure
• Last 3 months of pregnancy

Common: indigestion, abdominal pain, nausea, diarrhoea, dizziness, raised liver enzymes.

Less common: wind, gastritis, constipation, vomiting, itching, rash, raised kidney values.

Rare but serious: stomach bleeding/ulcer, heart attack/stroke, kidney or liver damage, severe allergy and skin reactions, fluid retention and high blood pressure.

• Use the lowest dose for the shortest time; stomach protection may be needed in high-risk patients.
• Caution in hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, smokers, asthma, kidney/liver disease and the elderly.

Avoid in the first 6 months unless advised; contraindicated in the last 3 months. Avoid while breastfeeding.

• Other NSAIDs, aspirin, anticoagulants, SSRIs (bleeding)
• ACE inhibitors, ARBs, diuretics (kidney risk)
• Lithium, digoxin, methotrexate (levels rise)
• Ciclosporin, tacrolimus (kidney toxicity)
• Diabetes medicines (monitor blood sugar)

Nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, dizziness, drowsiness; bleeding or kidney failure possible. Seek medical help.
