Stinba 10 mg Tablet

Long-acting, non-sedating antihistamine for:

• Allergic rhinitis (seasonal and year-round), with or without allergic conjunctivitis
• Chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives)

Adults and children over 12 years: 10 mg once daily; up to 20 mg once daily for severe symptoms (rhinitis).

Urticaria: 10 mg once daily.

Children 6–11 years (syrup, where approved): 5 mg once daily; 2–5 years: 2.5 mg once daily.

• With or without food (orodispersible tablets dissolve on the tongue).
• Severe liver impairment: max 10 mg daily.

• Allergy to ebastine
• Severe liver impairment (doses above 10 mg)

Common: headache, dry mouth, drowsiness (uncommon).

Less common: nausea, indigestion, abdominal pain, weakness, sore throat, nosebleeds, insomnia.

Rare: palpitations, fast heartbeat, raised liver enzymes, menstrual changes.

• Known long QT, low potassium, or taking QT-prolonging drugs: caution.
• Stop 5–7 days before allergy skin tests.
• If drowsy, avoid driving.

Avoid in pregnancy as a precaution. Not recommended while breastfeeding.

• Ketoconazole, itraconazole, erythromycin, clarithromycin (raise levels, QT risk)
• Rifampicin (reduces effect)
• Alcohol: no increase shown, but caution

Drowsiness, dry mouth, possible heart rhythm effects at very high doses. Supportive care with ECG monitoring.

Store below 30°C, protected from moisture.
