Ultox Tablet

Antioxidant vitamin combination for:

• Nutritional supplementation and antioxidant support
• Increased needs during illness, recovery, stress, or poor diet
• Supporting skin and eye health and immunity as part of a balanced diet

Adults: 1 capsule/tablet daily after a meal, or as directed on the pack.

• Do not exceed the recommended dose.
• Not intended for children unless advised.

• Allergy to any ingredient
• Smokers and former heavy smokers, and people exposed to asbestos — high-dose beta-carotene increases lung cancer risk

Usually well tolerated.

Uncommon: stomach upset, diarrhoea, heartburn.

High beta-carotene intake: harmless yellow-orange skin colour (carotenaemia).

High vitamin C: kidney stones in susceptible people; high vitamin E: bleeding tendency.

• History of kidney stones or iron overload (vitamin C increases iron absorption): caution.
• Avoid combining with other supplements containing the same vitamins.
• Stop high doses before surgery (vitamin E).

Usual supplement doses may be used in pregnancy and breastfeeding; prefer products designed for pregnancy.

• Warfarin and antiplatelets (vitamin E at high doses — bleeding)
• Orlistat, cholestyramine (reduce absorption)
• Vitamin C can affect some blood/urine glucose test results

Stomach upset, diarrhoea. Seek advice for large ingestions.

Store below 30°C, dry and protected from light.
